There are lots of Search Engine Optimization tools around the web. I guess some might be better considered Search Engine Research tools as they can just give more information on why a site ranks the way it does in the search engines.

Backlink Builder, find sites that match your search terms and also include add url or add site links.

Do you feel compelled to keep checking your sites placement in the search engines (SERPs) for your keywords? You might like this Free Google Monitor from cleverstat.com. (It even runs on linux via wine!!)
They also have a pagerank checking utility parameter that is free and also runs via wine on linux.
This site let’s you check your SERP’s at various datacenters.
Wordpot is a good keyword research tool.
This isn’t exactly a SEO tool, but it is an online advertising tool:
adwrapper is a tool to wrap a list of keywords with the quotes or brackets that make your ads either exact match or phrase matches in Google Adwords campaigns.
Here’s another tool for you with regards to keyword research. It’s Google’s Hot trends. It shows you what the top searches are by day (and you can get more detail on past search volume, news, etc.)
This one is a paid tool, but I’ve seen a demo and was blown away by the kinds of information it can provide Keywordspy. Great for analyzing competing adwords campaigns.
