Search Engine Submission
Of course, once you get your site prepared you will want to submit it or add it to the various search engines. Really the big ones these days are Google, Yahoo, MSN Live and ASK roughly in that order. There are tons of smaller search engines that it would be useful to be in.
Submitexpress can do free submission to 40+ sites.
I’ve found another good way to get in the search engines though is to have backlinks to your site. Most search engines will autodiscover your site as they crawl the web.
